w and wh

These sounds, once distinct, are identical in modern speech in most places in the world. e-speec uses the consistent spelling 'w' - so we get: wil (will), wen (when), wich (which, witch).

The sound 'ou’

This sound which is represented by the letters 'ou' in 'out', can be spelt traditionally using the letters 'ou' (70% of words) or 'ow' (30%). So e-speec uses 'ou' consistently, as in: out, cou (cow).
